Synastry (Compatibility Chart)

A free synastry chart from two people's birth details — see the cross-aspects between your planets, a 1–99 compatibility score, and readings for the key angles at a glance.

Synastry chart · Two-person compatibility

Enter each person's date, time and city of birth. We compare all ten planets in both charts and score the angles between them. No birth time? We use noon, so the Rising sign is skipped and the Moon may be a few degrees off.

Synastry lays two birth charts on top of each other and looks at the angles one person's planets make with the other's. Enter each person's birth date, time and city, and Giggleus places all ten planets — Sun through Pluto — in both charts, then checks every one of the 100 cross-pairs for the five major aspects: conjunction and opposition within 8°, square and trine within 7°, sextile within 6°.

Trines, sextiles and conjunctions push the score up; squares and oppositions pull it down, and the closer an aspect is to exact, the more it counts. You get a 1–99 compatibility score (50 if the charts form no aspects at all), a tally of flowing, bonding and tense contacts, both people's Sun, Moon and Rising signs, and plain-language readings for the eight tightest aspects. It works for partners, friends, siblings or coworkers.

No birth time? Tick the box and the chart is cast for noon: the Rising sign is left out and the Moon can be off by up to about 7°, so treat Moon aspects as rough. It's free with no sign-up. The astronomy is real; the readings are for fun and conversation, not a prediction of how a relationship will go.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Q. What is a synastry chart?

    A. A synastry chart compares two birth charts to show how one person's planets aspect the other's. Here, all ten planets of each person are checked against each other for conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines and oppositions.

  • Q. How is the synastry compatibility score calculated?

    A. It starts at 50. Trines, conjunctions and sextiles raise it; squares and oppositions lower it, and tighter aspects weigh more. Orbs are 8° for conjunctions and oppositions, 7° for squares and trines, and 6° for sextiles, and the total is kept between 1 and 99.

  • Q. Can I do synastry without a birth time?

    A. Yes. Without a time the chart is cast for 12:00 local time, so the Rising sign is skipped and the Moon may be off by up to about 7° — Moon aspects, or even the Moon sign, can change.

  • Q. Does a low synastry score mean we're incompatible?

    A. No. A low score just means more squares and oppositions, the kind of friction astrologers often read as room to grow. Treat it as a conversation starter, not a verdict on the relationship.
