How to Play
- The dino runs on its own. Press Space, ↑ or W, or tap the top of the screen, to jump the cacti.
- Hold ↓ or S, or press and hold the bottom of the screen, to duck. Do it mid-air to drop faster.
- Birds join from 250 points: jump the low ones, duck the middle ones, run under the high ones. The pace keeps rising and distance is your score.

Dino Runner is a free browser endless runner inspired by the dinosaur game Chrome shows when your connection drops. It is an independent Giggleus game with no link to Google: a dinosaur sprints across the desert on its own, and you keep it alive by jumping and ducking. One collision ends the run.
Jump with Space, the Up arrow or W, and hold the Down arrow or S to duck; press Down in mid-air to drop faster. On a phone, tap the upper part of the screen to jump and press and hold the lower part to duck. The run opens with small and tall cacti, and once you pass 250 points birds join the mix at three heights: jump the low ones, duck the middle ones, and simply keep running under the high ones.
Your score is the distance covered. It climbs by about 7 points a second at the start, and the pace rises every second until it tops out at roughly 2.6 times the starting speed after about a minute (near 700 points); from then on you gain about 18 points a second. Gaps between obstacles stretch with the speed, so the rhythm stays similar, but the time between an obstacle appearing and reaching you shrinks from about 2 seconds to under 1. Your best score goes on the global ranking, and you can share a result card with friends. The page needs an internet connection to load and to save scores; there is no offline mode.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How do you play Dino Runner?
A. Press Space, Up or W to jump and hold Down or S to duck. On a phone, tap the top of the screen to jump and hold the bottom to duck. Pressing Down in mid-air makes the dino drop faster.
Q. When do birds appear?
A. Birds start showing up after 250 points, roughly one obstacle in four. Jump the low birds, duck the middle ones and run straight under the high ones.
Q. How is the score counted?
A. The score is the distance you run. It rises about 7 points a second at first and about 18 a second once the game reaches top speed, roughly a minute in. One collision ends the run.
Q. Is this the Chrome dino game?
A. No. It is an independent Giggleus game inspired by Chrome's offline dinosaur game and is not affiliated with Google. It has no offline mode, so you need a connection to load it; Chrome's own game appears when you are offline or at chrome://dino.
